Who We Are
Jim Capper founded Pleasant Valley Nursery in 1996 in Lodi, Wisconsin, Jim’s home town. After working in other fields and completing his military service in the Marine Corps, Jim decided to pursue his dream of being in the tree nursery business. He gained valuable experience while working for a number of years at Ashippun Nursery near Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.

In researching the history of Lodi, it was originally named Pleasant Valley by the early settlers. Thus, the choice in naming the business became clear, to honor the history of the region.

Company Values
Pleasant Valley Nursery prides itself with the use of only stock hardy to Northern weather, including evergreens, deciduous (shade) and ornamental (flowering) trees, and shrubs. The trees and shrubs are grown on approximately 50 acres of rich Wisconsin soil, near the town of Lodi.
